 Terms and Conditions

  1. Trail Rides are available on booking, subject to the weather.

  2. Bookings are essential, we require full payment at the time of booking. All bookings are to be made online.

  3. All Riders must complete and sign a Trail Ride Waiver and Riding Application and Medical History Form before commencing on any ride.

  4. All Riders MUST wear long pants, enclosed non slip shoes ie boots, slip on with heel etc.

  5. Cancellation by CVSHTR due to safety conditions such as extreme wet weather, high winds etc will result in a replacement of your Trail Ride being offered on another day. We do not under any circumstances refund due to wet weather conditions being that we can not control the weather, so we are able to re-book your ride on another day.

  6. For safety and welfare reasons our maximum weight limit is 95kgs.

  7. All Riders regardless of experience must participate in a safety briefing and follow the direction of the Instructors at all times.

  8. If a rider conducts themselves in a manner that is considered to be injurious, prejudicial to the character or interests of CVSHTR, its staff or customers, or mistreats our horses/animals or fails to comply with the facilities rules and regulations their ride will be terminated, no refund will be made and you will be asked to leave the premises.

  9. All rides are conducted at a level of the least experienced rider on the ride. CVSHTR offer a scenic ride at a walk pace only. We do not offer trotting or cantering experience due to the terrain of the property.

  10. Prior to commencing on your Trail Ride, all Riders MUST demonstrate an ability to mount, dismount and control their horse (ie stop, turn and go).

  11. Uncontrolled Riding is NOT permitted.

  12. CVSHTR will provide you with an AS/NZS3838 helmet which must be worn at all times.

  13. It is recommended that you bring and apply sunscreen and insect repellent to prevent sunburn and insect bites.

  14. Remove and leave all loose jewellery at home, wrist watch and large hoops earring are not allowed.

  15. Riders are not permitted to take phones or cameras on the ride, if it is necessary the instructor will then offer to carry these with them in a backpack. There will be an opportunity provided at the end of your ride, prior to dismounting for photos to be taken.

  16. Smoking and vaping is prohibited on the premises.

  17. Under no circumstances for any rider to take part in CVSHTR under the influence of alcohol or other drugs. It is required on the application form to list any prescription medications that you are on.

  18. Prior to entering and exiting the property, care must be taken, please be cautious when turning into the property and exiting from the driveway onto Currumbin Creek Road as of the bends located in close proximity.

  19. Instructors will carry any prescribed drugs or medication in a backpack for the duration of the ride.

  20. All Riders must ensure that they wash their hands with soap and running water following contact with horses/animals, tack, feed, manure, etc prior to leaving CVSHTR.

  21. Under any circumstances all Riders/customers who enter CVSHTR property prior to any booked Ride or Activity MUST wait for an instructor/staff member at all times. Customers are not allowed to enter the property or be unaccompanied around a horse without a staff member present.

  22. It is a condition of entry to the property that all visible signs must be followed upon entry and that this is solely your accountability to do so, whilst on the property and leaving at your own risk.

  23. Please be aware of trip hazards including uneven ground coverage, rocks, branches, slippery or muddy areas.

  24. Please be aware that horses are predictably unpredictable so no screaming, making unforeseen loud noises, clapping, jumping etc whilst near the horses.

  25. No participant/customer is to feed the horses/animals, including, cats, dogs, chickens and goats. Please keep in mind that some horses/animals can and may bite.

  26. No unauthorised person is allowed to enter the chook pen or goat paddock without a staff member.

  27. Please be aware that horses can kick, including clients/customers and or other horses, so at all times NO person is to walk behind a horse, under a horse neck and every rider is to keep a minimum of two horse length distance between themselves and the rider in front of them.

  28. Please be aware that there are forms of natural habitat and wildlife, there may also be bees present or can be present at any time.

  29. Gates and latches on gates, you are to always open the gate by pushing it forward and walk through, do not climb fences and/or gates or climb through or over a fence/gate, always close the gate behind you.

  30. Proof of identity is required prior to riding upon signing of waiver at the property, if anyone lies about this then that is their responsibility and the ride will be cancelled and no refund is provided.

  31. All riders must be aware that horses can spook at any time, this can be caused by a number of things especially sudden movements, other horses and loud noises.

  32. All riders are required to show proof of identity on arrival and sign all forms provided by CVSHTR prior to your ride. If you are unable to show proof of your identify or you have lied about your weight thenyour ride will be cancelled and unfortunately there will be no refund.
