Horse trail rides

Currumbin Valley Scenic Horse Trail Rides are 90 minutes duration upon arrival, scenic walking trail rides, provided by qualified Trial Guide instructors.

 

Experience the thrill of horseback riding through the beautiful Currumbin Valley trails. Our guided horse trail rides are perfect for beginners, nervous riders and experienced riders alike, offering a unique opportunity to explore the great outdoors on horseback. 

 

Before hitting the trails, we offer all our riders a 10 minute riding lesson with one of our experienced instructors. The lesson will teach you the basics of horse riding, including:

  • Mounting & dismounting safely

  • Balancing and seating

  • Communicating with your horse 

  • Basic horse control and steering

 

Our riding lessons are designed to ensure you feel comfortable and confident on horseback, allowing you to enjoy your trail ride to the fullest. Plus we offer all our riders time spent with their horse with a pre riding bonding experience. 

 

Spending time with your horse before riding on a trail offers numerous benefit, including:

  • Reduced stress

  • Improved communication

  • Increased trust

  • Regulating your own nervous system (great for nervous riders)

  • Strengthening your partnership

  • Enhance your riding experience

 

All riders are welcome to learn how to untack their own horse on request, photo opportunities and assistance by walking their horse back to the house paddock to experience them as a herd and rolling. 

AGE LIMIT:

  • 18 years and over

 

COST:

  • $210 per rider

 

Maximum weight of the rider is not to exceed 85kg.

 

Horse and rider will be matched accordingly to their riding ability and weight restriction (by law 20% of a persons body weight to that of the horse).

Our horses are our priority and we take pride in maintaining the welfare of all our horses.

On arrival

Follow the allocated signs and arrows to the top of the driveway adjacent to the shed. You will then be able see the sign to the office where we will fill out any paperwork required, footwear check, height and weight check.

We supply your helmet but ask that you please arrive with enclosed non slip shoes as this is a safety requirement for riding.

 

We will proceed as a group to meet our horses. Prior to mounting, tack will be checked, safety instruction given and then we will venture off as a group.


 

Equine Interactions

Equine Interactions is a skilled based learning/education program with specific outcomes designed to meet the needs of the individual. We offer safe interactions and experiences with horses for the purpose of exploring awareness of self to assist with personal development and life skills. Anyone of any age, background, ability or disability can benefit from Equine Interactions.

COST:

  • Individuals: $120 per hour

  • Groups: minimum of four - $80 each
